SAY HIS NAME!! CHRISTOPHER DAVIS!!
The story of Christopher Davis never got the National, local, or media attention that it deserved. His life, taken unjustly like so many other Black and Brown lives. His story, silenced. The accountability, none. In a botched drug operation gone wrong, Christopher Davis was murdered, four shots, and a bullet to the head by East Troy Police Officer, Juan Ortiz. He didn’t sell drugs, he didn’t have a weapon, and he didn’t deserve to die. His crime? Being a 21-year-old Black man in a vehicle. Today, we will stand with the family for a candlelight vigil and then hit the streets shouting his name! Today we call ALL FREEDOM FIGHTERS. Even if you will be late, make sure you come out tonight.‼️ Today is the 5 year anniversary since Christopher Davis was killed, and as of recently, his case has been approved for the Federal Courts. Now, we have the opportunity to make our voices heard and continue to provide strength to the family in the adversity they face. We demand accountability that all officers, cities, and departments be held responsible who took part in taking away Christopher’s life. ***Description taken from The Peoples Revolution Facebook page.***
Die In at Mayfair Mall for Alvin Cole
On February 2nd, 2020 17-year-old Alvin Cole was shot dead by Wauwatosa Officer Joseph Mensah. Originally, Wauwatosa Police Department reported that Alvin Cole shot at Mensah and other officers. An investigation proved that to be untrue. The police commanded Cole to drop the gun. Two shots were then fired when Cole was on his hands and knees, and the remaining three shots were fired by Mensah while Cole was face down on the ground. Mensah was the only officer among the five other officers at the scene who fired his weapon. To this day, Joseph Mensah has killed three young men of color. He is now employed by the Waukesha Sheriff’s Department.
